Understanding Paul Gascoigne!

Did anyone hear his interview on the radio last night? I just could not understand half of what he was saying, he was talking so quickly I missed a lot of it. If it had been on television I think subtitles would be needed.

He did sound sober and I hope he sticks to not drinking, it was just that I couldn't understand his broad Geordie accent, plus he talks so quickly, I had a job understanding him, mind you, I'm a Southern softie!!. :)

I am listening as I type, I have no problem understanding him, although I am aware that he does talk very quickly, and he has a strong accent, which I can translate as he goes.

I do hope he can get past his demons, I really do.
