I heard today that Marguerite Patten died on the 4th of June. Why has it taken a week for this to be announced? Anyone else remember her?
I remember her well.
I had Never heard of her but it was on last night's main news. Sometimes these things are not always announced to the public immediately
Christopher Lee's death occurred on Sunday but was only announced today to the public
presumably only her family kew, and announced it when they were good and ready. That's what Christopher Lee's family did, because they wanted to tell family members first.
That started my fettish for collecting recipes. I've collected them over the years and I have 8 lever arch files in various categories for recipes from magazines, newspapers and anywhere I find them from. I have sessions of adding new ones and going through and scrapping some.
I remember her she was quite posh, and she pronounced margarine properly with an emphasis on the g whilst most of us pronounced as marjarine. My mum followed her recipes all the time.
