can anyone recommend eye drops for bad sore hayfever eyes.
My daughter wears daily contact lenses and this morning her eyes are red raw.
I use Optrex Itchy Eye Drops but they are not for contact wearers.
TIA

They stop the worst of my itching, though sometimes my eyes still water a bit. Unfortunately you would have to pay a prescription charge for it, but it lasts 4 weeks and you can use it up to 3 times a day, though most days I get away with just once. I have asked if there is anything stronger, but apparently this is the best stuff you can get. Don't forget to attack on all fronts, so have an antihistimine tablet a day and nose spray (I use Fexofenadrine and Beconase), also on prescription I'm afraid.
Good posts by JB86London and sddsddean suggesting the use of sodium chromoglycate or derivatives.
However there has been suggestions that even these should not be used in patients with contact lenses.
I am drawn to the post of Retrochic........if your daughter would put her vanity aside for a couple of days then antistin privine eye drops would clear it up within 3 days.
