For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I will - at the time all he meant was you posted a question about people not acknowledging their answers and you didn't come back to thread for nearly 5 hours, that was ironic. He didn't mean anything about you not thanking people. It's douglas' sense of humour, nothing to worry about. That's my interpretation anyway.
In the Technology section of AB, an Original Poster may have been given a number of different suggestions to solve a Computer problem and then responds with a thank you along the lines of ..."Thanks, all sorted".
A Techie then asks " What did you do to resolve matters"........End of thread, because OP has disappeared.
Feed back, feed back is more important than actual 'Thank Yous'.
Hans.

There can be many reasons for a lack of reply - as you have just proved JennyJoan - some ask a question then go off to do something else and may return hours later or even days later.
Some may simply not see the need , I personally was always brought up to thank.
However as mainly an answerer, I tend to shrug and forget about it.
I think in the practical topics it is even more important, expert advice for free is great.
