The idea that the UK has deteriorated in any way like Syria is utterly misguided -- just like these women have been. I wouldn't take anything they've said remotely seriously, given their actions. I'm surprised that you think there's any merit to what she has to say.
Some live cocooned, controlled by their OH & inlaws. Theyre monitored when out to not speak to strangers, no tv & cell phone control etc. Ive seen them confined to kitchens & bedrooms.
