Stinker In The Audience
14 Answers
Last night I went to a concert - string quartets - lovely music in an historic church. Got there very early to get the best seat ( not ticketed) and was all set to enjoy it, when at the last minute a burly chap came in and sat rather too close to me and, not to put too fine a point on it, stank.
I couldn't think of anything to do except clutch a tissue to my nose.
So disappointing when I had been looking forward to a pleasant end to the longest day.
What else could I have done ?

Really, as I'm a fella, probably would of hit him.......if after asking him to please move as he is offending my nostrils, he stays put.
I know people do sweat, and have B.O problems, but most do nothing about it and dont even carry any mini-spray with them to combat the problem.
I was in a restaurant in Malta, to which I'm off to, funny enough, in a few days time for The Isle Of MTV event, and this fat slob of a man eating on a nearby table was chucking up big time, and we were inside in air-conditioning, which didn't help, so after mentioning it to staff discreetly, and that it would spoil our meal and time there, they moved us to a lovely spot and table on the balcony, with a great view overlooking south to Filfla island, with a natural sea breeze. If something mentioned in restaurant, and he took it badly, probably would caused a ruck, so whats the point?...just move away from them and treat your nose to a good time.

It's funny really.....I was born and raised in South London....been living down on the south coast for 10 years this Autumn and notice that a lot of phrases and sayings I used to say when I lived there, I'm not using so much down here so when originally put "chucking up big time" that was phrase I sometimes used to describe someone who is smelling and has a strong odour.....hadn't used it in a while, so I thought i'd give it a whirl....:-)
