Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how many minutes recording i can put on a 1GB SD card used with a digital camera. Or, what factors it may depend on.

I have just got a 5MP digital camera and a 1GB SD card is used with it. Mine says 57mins available recording time, but whether this will reduce depending on the number of photographs you take as well, I am not sure.
