Teachers are not police. It is fair to asl to look for issues and report anything for others to investigate; but as long as they are not permitting the teaching of radicalisation then suspicions reporting is as much as can be expected. It should be seen as a social responsibility, beyond the job description, not something one can hold against the school/university. There should be an obvious difference between opting to allow this sort of thing and simply not spotting it.

We need to give counter terrorism training to teachers and educators but the problem here is the secret services cannot give out too much information as eventually it will get into the wrong hands and teach the enemy of our methods. What we should do is up the stakes regarding financial rewards for giving conclusive proof including illegal recording and covert surveilance which can then be overturned in a court of law in the light of a real potential terrorist or terrorist sympathiser which leads to a conviction/convictions.
