My air con keeps running after I've stopped, turned off the engine and locked up in this heat. Today for nearly 3 mins after stopping. Is this normal or another bill to look forward to?
Many thanks.

My Honda Accord used to do that. It doesn't do it anymore as the air con broke and I never got it fixed.
I would guess it's the cooling fan not the air-con and would have thought it was normal in this heat. But I don't actually know...
I agree with Prudie, our cooling fan in the Honda runs for 2 or 3 minutes after switching off.

Thanks all.
Never known air-con to run after switching off....engine-cooling fan - yes, quite common.

Our Honda Accord did that, I always took it that it was the air cooling system operating there for the engine cooling down.
When some engines are shut off, especially on a hot day, the temperature in the engine can actually increase due to "percolation". This is why the electric cooling fans can run for several minutes in order to cool down the engine. It's been this way for many years.
^^^^ yes, quite....but NOT the air-con as OP stated.
Doubt if it's the air con, if the engine is turned off so is the pump ^^^^^^^
