It wont play any kind of disc. Im trying to use a hazard perception cd for driving and this has worked in other computers. A message pops up saying please insert the disc (even though there is one inserted)

Can you see the lens when the drive pops out?

It might need cleaning.

Someone on here suggested using a cotton bud soaked with that liquid used to clean cassette tape drive heads. Rub gently. I've used that and all my dodgy CD players now play CDs without any problems again. (Had tried a lens brush CD but waste of money and can scratch lens)
