my relative, whom i am assissting is moving from a housing association house to an extra care home that is run by another HA. as she can't give notice on her house till she has signed the tenancy for the other, There is going to be an overlap where she will have 2 rents to pay. ATM her rent is covered by Housing benefit.
do they do anything for the situation above, where 2 rents have to be paid for a short time?
also, she needs to fill in a change of circumstances form - can you download them, or must they send us one?
The probability is you may have to telephone to enquire about the overlap so you can request a form then , or simply put change of circs in a letter being sure to include all relevant reference numbers.
They like these to be taken it, so they can stamp and date the receipt of them.
we are going to sign the new tenancy next thurs, but it says on there if HB is paying the rent you have to also take a change in ciru=cumsatnces form with you
