Some People Are Just Totally Savage!!

One of the ladies I look after, the sweetest gentlest lady,now in her 80, she doesn't talk due to severe learning disabilities. We had an optician in to do eye tests as she is going blind. Well that can be easily sorted if we can give her a little sedation to help her calm down, so she can leave the building as she is severely agoraphobic. I was discussing this person with my Manager.

It was explained, that when she came into the home many years ago she had to have operations on her gums, she was very badly sexually abused as a child and someone ripped all her teeth out to stop her biting!!

Some people are so vile and evil they need the same doing to them!!

Such a tragic story makes you despair of the human race but thank goodness you have put hope back in with your caring love for this lady and others I hope in her twilight years she is happy and peaceful!

Poor lady - I'm glad she has you on her side, Ratter! I remember my mum's fear of medics. As a small child (before 1920) she remembered being in a queue of children and hearing a lot of screams. She went into a room and a doctor took our her adenoids without any anaesthetic. It was just the thing to do at the time.

She never forgot it, was always mistrustful of medics.... that has passed on to me to a certain extent. I check and won't be hassled.

She has lived in the home for many years, we have full medical history and social services reports going back over many years.
