flash player problens

i had to recover mt system this week so i ran the format and recovery discs. everything works OK & i have upgraded to IE 8 but now I can't run any flash files. I have downloaded flashplayer & it is enabled but still no luck. any ideas?

IE8? I don't think you mean that... currently IE6 is the official release, and it's been out for ages.
Use firefox instead: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox
Much, much better. and it'll do all the flash stuff for you too, very easy to set up.
