I have just purchased a Prestigio tablet and discovered Android does not provide a tap to top button, so have to scroll 10-20 times to get back to the top of many pages. The only app I found is one click scroll which requires what they call 'rooting' (ie unlocking and voiding the warranty) which obviously is not on. Besides the design fault of forcing users to scroll endlessly for the lack of a button, is there a genuine app to do this or will I be wearing out my finger for the foreseeable future?
Why not install Firefox for android? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox Once installed, go to tools/add-ons and add the "Scroll to top" add-on
I've just checked settings (it's all new to me, there may be other ways in as well?) but has six headings not including motion. I'll have to learn how to delete programs next as the one I tried isn't usable.
I will work through them, I had to use Chrome which was installed as the stock browser insisted on using the mobile versions which are hopeless, even though the screen is almost the size of a laptop. I'm amazed Chrome don't include such a facility considering Android is running their own software, but if I need Firefox then that's probably the next step but means I'd probably waste Chrome which is very good otherwise.
Type Your Answer Here...I can now confirm the code does not allow any short cut to the top. It's a bit like adding rows of the same number on a calculator to multiply them as they didn't bother to provide a button. It works but why not supply the multiply button?http://cyrilmottier.com/2013/01/09/back-to-top-android-vs-ios/
