Wild Life ~ Where Has It Gone?
8 Answers
This year I have seen very few swallows and house martins ~ and I haven't seen a single swift! When we moved to this house thirty years ago they were numerous; and at this time of the year we used to watch the pipistrelles hunting in our garden at dusk. Now you are lucky to see one or two in an entire evening. Anyone else noticed this sad decline?

Also we have a lot's of wild birds singing and flying around, even nesting in our garden. I don't know what kind they are though. Sometimes a frog or two get near the pool, and we have a salamander family living outside. But I do agree, when we first moved up here 18 years ago, there was always rabbits and snakes crossing the road. We only see those very occasionally now.
Cell phone antennas seem to be the problem, tho they havent diminished my may bug problem :(
