Want To Own A House?
8 Answers
I've read on here numerous times that there is a housing shortage in the UK. Well, how is this for a deal? Mind you, your moving expenses would be a little more expensive. http:// cnews.c anoe.co m/CNEWS /Canada /2015/0 7/12/22 502821. html

Once thought about following my sisters footsteps a few years ago.Once, when her late husband was showing off millionaire's cottages (mansions) with Otters(float planes) moored on their landings of Lake Simcoe and the tennis courts etc. I told him our modest house in the suburbs of London could easily be sold for the price of his dollar millionaire's row.It was no idle boast or exaggeration. I posted our local property paper to him to prove it.
Alas there was a quota system then and us Limey's appeared very low on the list compared with certain nationalities who arrived on your shores and the first thing they unpacked was their attitude.
Don't know if your Gov is more accommodating now to us but we are house trained and don't kill your soldiers at your National war memorials either. :-(

When my parents decided to emigrate from England to Canada, my father had to come over first and offer proof to the Government that he had a permanent job and residence before the rest of the family could come over. Our immigration policy is a little more "lax" now, but nowhere near as much as the UK's. Anyway, let's not turn this into a political thingy:)
