Frankie (my darling little boy cat) seems to react to a specific pollen that is later in the pollen season. The vet explained it all to me and I forgot every bit of information that she gave me.

I assume that you mean inhaled allergies rather than contact or ingested allergens, then if you do, then the answer is that is unusual to be hypersensitive to just one allergen, that is e.g a single grass pollen or single tree pollen. It is better to understand that you are in a state of "hypersensitivity" which can be triggered by many allergens.
