cant sue the french dockworkers union for loss of earnings, perhaps they`d think twice about these idiotic blockades if that was to happen. Anyone know why this doesnt happen.

The UK does not have a "So called Truckers Union" The transport and General workers Union was the one at one time, but now U/S, the French have a strong Union, they have the balls to stand up to their Government not like the HGV UK Drivers union.
