It would be sad if England stopped being predominantly English Mr Stamp, but eh! is it too late?

/// "Is it too late to stop England being predominantly English?" ///
/// I've read that a few times now, and I'm still not sure if it's phrased
correctly. ///
Phrased incorrectly in what way sp?
I was addressing the last paragraph of the article, but including England as a whole, not just London.
I do hope that makes things a little clearer for you and others.

I don't have a passport, so I will not be travelling to Spain any time soon. Even if I did, I cannot speak Spanish so wouldn't be able to eavesdrop on what the locals are saying about the Brits.
Okay, fair enough. I'm labouring the point. I could re-word it and make it the Indians, complaining about the British Raj and plotting how they'd get their own back once they'd seen us off their turf.
Reverse colonisation. Without rifles. Very stylish.

/// Here again is the point that i tried to make yesterday,a very good and important post being spoilt by smart ass flippant responses, some of you should grow up. ///
Exactly there is a certain troll who sits on it's perch to regularly try and disrupt certain threads, but it is allowed to do so, time and time again.

“Friday nights, it's full of drunk bankers.”
Of course it is, sp. That’s what I’d expect to find in such an area. Getting drunk after work on Friday is part of England’s culture.
I cannot believe that only 44,000 Bangladeshis live in the UK, AOG. Are you sure you’ve not missed a zero out somewhere? This article:

suggested that 154,000 of them lived here in 2001. It also suggests that 1% of London’s population (probably then about 70,000) were resident in London. This article:

says that the 2011 census reported 447,000 Bangladeshis (those who completed the census, that is).

//The difference being, we will never get our independence back. //
Well, India had the advantage of being a hot, sweaty, monsoon drenched, disease-infested place that the Brits were all too willing to get away from. It was only the money that we were there for, in the first place.
Cotton, indigo… all kinds of crops that the locals couldn't eat, during a famine.
As for regaining independence, we are already independent, so I think you mean regaining property. Unfortunately, it was all sold. Blame the people who took the money and ran.
The Genesis album "Selling England by the Pound" is from the early 70s. Clearly this has been going on for over 40 years, if the social commentary started that long ago.

/// "Is it too late to stop England being predominantly English?" ///
/// Both Jim and myself mentioned the phrasing of this on the first page, ///
/// "Why would you want to stop England being predominantly English?" ///
I have already explained this to sp1814.
Where have I said that I want to stop England being predominantly English?
But what I dis say was "Is it TOO LATE to stop England" being .........eg, overrun.
There has it made it any easier for you??
