11 Answers
Mr F loes the old B&W films, and someone told him he can watch them on Channel 801 on Freeview.
I have done a re-tune 3 times just now, but cannot access this channel, and help would be appreciated. Thank you.

If you download the Freeview channel guide here there is no mention of an 801.
In fact there are no TV channels in the 800s

As usual, my know-it-all BIL was wrong again with his info, thank you folks, I found the movies for men channel, that will suit Mr F a treat, and no Sir Prize, no way will he touch the PC or lappy.
With his Alzheimer's (bless him) that channel should keep him happy. :)
He happily watches Sharpe box set, and True Grit most weeks, not forgetting Hornblower.

Thanks Jordyboy, I often get him a DVD if he remembers the name of a film he particularly likes, or even a tv series he liked. Recently got him the Sharpe set, he is chuffed with that. I think he watches Zulu every other week too, I did try and joke with him that was the only positive effect of the Alzheimer's....he can watch the same film every week and be happy with it.
