Highly Varnished Table

Have this table ages but never ever got around to polishing it up and having NO streaks.

I have tried different polishes but to no avail. Any help there. Thank you

ps Doesn't get abused as we eat in the living room only at xmas and event time etc.

If its streaking it might be a build up of too much polish. What is the table made of and how old is it? Is it french polished or varnished or waxed?

I realised there was too much build up of polish a cuppla times and I actually washed it down just with with oul fairy liquid and water. First time after polishing it came up great but not this time. Not a big deal tho. just a wee query

I cleaned a teak table with a soft cloth and white spirit, it cleared all the polish build up off and then I started again with a beeswax
