Because it's that or a vat of wine and perhaps the vat of wine was missing?
Were you ringing them to get you the number of the electric company because your lights had failed???

Really needed a cigarette but stopped smoking many years ago.
I agree, Daisy.....the most frustrating company to deal with....x
Its the same feeling I have with Talktalk - I turn into a screaming banshee tearing my hair out and have really high blood pressure!
I've just moved home. I can understand that. Do I live here - and should I be allowed to know my own phone number? I'm not sure - and neither is BT. Nightmare organisation.
Have you tried British Gas, you start with an empty ashtray and a full bottle of booze and by the time you have finished it's the other way round.
I wanted to return the freeview box as the new tv had freeview installed. They suggested I keep the box and told me where to plug the tv aerial so that I could record & plan viewing, that the tv inbuild couldn't do. I think freeview costs £5pm. Very helpful & useful info imo....no complaints here about Charles in New Delhi ;)

Make tou hang on for ages, then transfer you and you have to wait again, the they cut you off and you have to start all over again.
And they will insist on calling me by my first name which annoys me greatly....they are not my friends and I'm probably old enough to be their granny.....
It's one of life's rules that it's impossible to communicate with any so-called communications company!
I agree with baza as regards British Gas. I timed a call to them once and was on for 35 minutes waiting for a response ! They are rubbish .....
I work for BT DaisyNonna - I sympathise!!!
It's amazing how many calls you get from Brian in Bombay, but try ringing BT to complain about their phone and broadband setup - or lack of-it, and they don't bother turning up as promised.
Amazing how so many firms claim to take exceptional pride in their customer service....and get it so badly wrong.

andy, apologies to you
Not your fault
India seems to have people in bubbles who have no idea what is going on elsewhere
Found myself in a loop of recorded questions
No, I did not want to pay a bill, merely to enquire what whole bill direct debit meant
Still none the wiser
should have asked on here....

settlement of your bill in full by direct debit - they send you a statement rather than the bill.

?
Don't know. It does the same to me. Let me know if you get an answer. I'll be changing from them as soon as my initial year's contract (taken out in panic and needed to get on line) is over.
