Any tips for cutting mermaid acrylic shower panels? Trial has splintered so not confident

I'd suggest something without the rough vibrating action saw teeth give (unless you have a fast fine electric one maybe).
Can you score it with a Stanley knife ? Or even use it to cut through ? Gradually scoring through can be softer on the cut material.
How thin is the panel ? Maybe tin snips or perhaps large scissors may be a possibility if thin enough.

As Togo almost said, :-P, a jigsaw with a hacksaw blade fitted. Clamp a straight edge top and bottom where the cut's to be made to stop the sheet dancing about and, once you start, keep going to the end. When the blade slows down it catches the material and that's when cracking and splintering happen.
