Cricket: Freak Result ?

After the Second Test all the pundits were saying the First Test was a freak result.

Now it's looking like it was the Second Test which was the freak result.

Quite an incredible series so far. Who'd have thought England would bounce back so well after the Lord's Test? Let's not forget, though, the match isn't won yet.....

Taking 6-yr-old grandson to the Pickering Traction Engine Rally tomorrow, so it will have to be mostly the highlights. Fingers crossed that it doesn't rain, here or at Egbaston! :)

Where are you jourdain? There are some fabulous museums for youngsters in the south.

I'm tucked into the East Riding of Yorkshire, DaisyN. Not all that far inland from Filey. Nowadays it's pretty good here for youngsters, grandson loves the National Railway Museum at York.

Another freak result?

Half asleep and k--ckered, but this was really good to see. I was against Root being moved up the batting order, but he seems to have matured enough for 4th. It was a tricky sort of wicket, though, wasn't it, which more suited our bowlers.

Really pleasing, 'freak' can be consigned to the dustbin I think! Typing this at half-time in a stonkingly good game of Rugby League. Lovely to see Sinfield and Burrows working together again for possibly the last time. IMO Lealgue surpasses Union every time. (No, even I do not know all the somewhat esoteric rules!) :o)
