Severe Toothache Could It Be An Abscess

Hi the last couple of days I have had really awful toothache on one tooth I can't eat at all on that side of the mouth. And it is extremely difficult and painful to touch. I am going to the dentist tomorrow I am wondering if it is an abscess

Highly likely.If so dentist will give you antibiotics and probably not touch it until the infection has cleared. Been there many times, you have my sympathy.
