Im unemployed, living in council accommodation, nearly 50 (next year), ex convict, ex psych patient, paying extortionent bedroom tax (which in reality is my sons bedroom.
How much lower do I need to go?
Just asking.
I really dont know how much lower i need to go to be in David Camerons 'All in it together" mantra...Perhaps I'm missing something?
How much more can I give away b4 I become homeless and penniless?
I really want to follow my esteemed leaders in the house of Lords and those in the house of commons.
Thanks for any advice.
Nailit, they charge min £10/hour to walk your dog around here and when I needed one the other day they were all booked up. £20/day just to babysit your dog at your or their home. Between £10 and £17.50 to do an hour's gardening and £300 to paint a bedroom. I bet you could do all of those things. Stick a card in your newsagent's window and advertise in your local freebie paper. Also, have you thought about writing? You do it well. Short stories? Your life story?
Give it a go.
wish you pair would pack it in on this thread. The only thing that changes with psychology and psychiatry over the decades is the politics that goes with it ,professional or not. Im off to bed. Did want to post mama a night song. If someone would be so kind as to send her the smashin pumkins farewell and goodnight track I would be grateful. You listen to it as well nailit
Nailit, for a long time you have struggled and it doesn't get easier for you does it.
Glib Mantras from the MPs mean nothing.
If the employers are tearing your applications up when they see your history then maybe the only way is to try to set something up for yourself. I know that is easier said than done with a zero bank balance.
Thanks for replies guys.
I'd had a rubbish day and was feeling a bit sorry for myself. Had a drink and fell asleep so apologies for not replying last night.
Thanks again all.
Hi Nailit - can I just add from where I live there are so many free courses going on here, also leisure centres who help if you are on benefits etc - are there not any where you live. Try and internet your area for them they are going on everywhere.
I know groups of retired men meet on a Wed for company - game of snooker, card playing etc. Sometimes they hire a bus for small trips etc.
Also loads of free courses particularly for the likes of yourself who is on benefits - please just look them up. Good luck.
