Emmerdale Helicopter Crash

Not impressed by the helicopter crash in Emmerdale earlier. Looked like a poor model for the second or two that it was shown and I doubt the walls of the building would have remained in place had it been real. Budget restrictions no doubt!

When the police helicopter crashed through the roof of the Clutha Vaults pub in Glasgow in Nov 2013, the building itself - i.e. the walls - remained standing.

I thought it was laughable - they must have spent, oh, at least £150 on the CGI ! Even worse than the Coronation Street tram crash a few years ago, and that was poor.

brainiac...the exact word I used was "laughable"...in fact, I laughed out loud. The overheated cylinder acting like some guided-missile was way too silly.

Noticed the Emergency services were ages to come as usual. They were probably caught up in the infamous 'ring road' that delays all essential services in every soap.

Where was everyone e1se from the vi11age? Had they aII gone on a charabanc trip to Skeggy? Nobody apart from the few at the wedding seemed to appear even ages after it happened.

I thought the over-heated propane gas cylinder acting like a guided missile was very original and far from silly. Though to be fair, rather than actually act like a guided missile, tracking the target until impact, it did shoot straight up in the air just as the helicopter was flying overhead. No more implausible than some soap story lines, imho.
