A flap that size couldn`t haven`t been from anything else.
I kinda always thought it had crashed into the sea

and I think that a bit being washed up in Reunion doesnt exclude any crash site - so altho it confirms what we always knew - it doesnt really add or exclude anything

Of course it crashed into the sea. There was never an alternative to that unless people have a very vivid imagination.

Well it quashes any suggestion that it landed safely in the jungle - unless of course this part was a plant TIC
The bereaved are still tormenting themselves

The jungle landers for example march on and are accusing various people of planting the evidence ....

No one has yet come forward and said - so what an airplane can fly with only one flaperon ....
I am not sure if we are any further on, with the discovery of this wing part. If it has traces of explosive on it, it might point us in one direction, but I would have thought that unlikely after spending so much time in the sea.

I suppose it will stop some of the dafter conspiracy theories that the plane landed in a jungle clearing somewhere, etc, etc.

Unless we can find the "black boxes" I'm afraid we will never know why it crashed.
I have every sympathy for these people but they need to get real :::
