8d. One to touch up small measure absolutely necessary (2,1,5) A-/A/-I-S-
It looks as though it should be AT A PINCH, but this won't fit with 13a. Local authority accommodation (7,5) which I have as COUNCIL HOUSE.
The only word I can think of which fits the last 5 letters is FIRST, but I don't see how this parses.
Any help please, it's bugging me?

It would be a possibility if it weren't for 7d. Horribly moody - it's enveloping church division (9) being DICHOTOMY leaving me with the second letter of the second word as an O.

That was the solution I thought of, Dannyk13, but the C of PINCH won't fit with COUNCIL HOUSE. If anyone can come up with an alternative to HOUSE using -O-C- I would be very grateful.

Is the first word definitely council?

Scorpiojo, C-U-C-L all fit with the other clues and I can't think of any other word which does.

Of course it is entirely possible that I've got the whole of the top-right-hand corner wrong.
I'll just have to wait until next week and see where I went wrong.
