/// Last night, Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said: ‘Cameron should apologise for his divisive language not defend it. You don’t call people a “swarm” – they are fathers, mothers, daughters, sons.’ ///
Marvellous that a party who are always ready to hand out disdainful labels to their own countrymen, yet they are still going on about Cameron's correct usage of the word "swarm" when referring to a 'large number of people'.
According to the supposed educated Ms Cooper, he should have said there are a large number of fathers, mothers, daughters, and sons heading for the UK.

The she’d be wrong. Although there are a few mothers and daughters among the swarms (which the media – particularly the BBC – have been quite adept at picking out for their footage and photographs) the vast majority of those seeking illegal entry from France are single men. All of them, of course, are sons and many of them may be fathers, but those with families do not seem to have had too many qualms about leaving them behind to face the danger and persecution from which they have fled.
Politcians of all persuasions might do better to stop worrying about the (quite correct and acceptable, albeit unpalatable) language being used and instead concentrate their efforts into devising effective ways to prevent the country being invaded.

"Well read some of mikey's for a start, then add the usual 'Racist', 'homophobic', 'Little Englander', 'xenophobic', 'knuckle dragger', 'Fascist', 'Neo Nazi', 'Islamophobic', 'Fat Cats' you must have the gist by now? "
Without wishing to put words into people's mouths, I suspect Gromit was asking for examples from the Labour front bench, not casual examples of the general name calling that goes on from all sides on sites like this
