But our Mr Vaz is none too happy, Since there are no tunnels between Dunkirk, Zeebrugge and the Hook of Holland, surely it is just going to be more difficult for them to get to the UK?
/// Keith Vaz, Labour chairman of the Commons home affairs committee, warned of the limitations of the new security measures. 'We must be aware of the dangers of the domino principle,' he said. 'Closing off one route will only mean the problem moves to another port. ///

All the more town's people to get upset, maybe they may finely see sense and close the European boarders?

And why would they? They are merely transiting through, and none of these countries, including France, are their final destination, so it is in the interests of any nation to simply wave them through, with some facilities at Calais to avoid a bottleneck, and stop the migrants from getting upset from lack of support and (heaven forbid!) venturing back into mainland Europe to find somewhere to live.
It will be interesting to see what happens next.
The problem is, the genie is out of the bottle, and no matter how much the UK government try to say that there is no room or support for migrants (although they act as if there is plenty of both!) - the migrants continue to regard the UK as their Shangrila, and will continue to aim to get here by any means possible.

" fast-track asylum process for thousands of migrants"
lets hope its fast track straight but not into the UK...the vast vast majority are fraudsters, nothing else to it.
the eussr is not only going to destroy the uk but most of the other stupid countries that have joined....they will be unrecogniseable..

One could guess that if the E.U. behaves as it should and when people attempt to enter their country, they are required to be taken before a 'court' to determine their eligibility to stay. There is no maybe, the answer always has to be Yes or No. If yes the immigrant gets permission to stay and can travel freely within the E.E.. If the answer is No, they have to be returned immediately to the country from whence they came.
