... and Jimmy James ? Old acts from a gazillion years ago. I was a child, when they were on the go but my Dad loved them. I ,therefore, was brought up on them.

Richard Hearne as Mr Pastry. OMG, I used to think he was wonderful. Also used to love Johnnie Morris with the animals. Hylda Baker-ism...knock at the door...HB "oo is it? " Answer : "It's me". HB, 'ow do I know it's you, you could be the Boston Dangler for all I know. THere was Mrs Shufflewick and Norman Evans(?) over the garden wall. Max Wall, Billy Dainty. They were telly though. On the radio, there was 2way family favourites on a Sunday with Jean Metcalfe.

This thread takes me back, I remember Jimmy Clitheroe on the radio.

We used to watch whacko on Saturday.

I love listening to Radio7 extra, they don't make comedies like they used too.
