Hoses

I,ve just been looking at last weeks ad in the Daily Mirror for an expanding hosepipe. . It looks good but I would like 75ft which costs £29.99 Has anyone tried these as its a lot of money if they,re not much good?

Been discussed a number of times here. General viewpoint was unfavourable due to the quality of the item/connectors. But maybe they have improved it since launch ? Certainly put me off them.

My neighbour bought something similar, I think from the Mail, but she doesn't have an outdoor tap and was unable to connect it to her kitchen cold water tap, despite having bought a separate adapter to go with the hose. It seems that the downward -pointing bit of the tap wasn't long enough to attach the hose to.

If it's one like woofgang has just posted, don't bother. I bought a similar one and it sprang leaks all over the place after 2/3 weeks of use.

Thanks folks. After your replies I,ll give it a miss. Ladybirder, I have no idea how to do links but it had to be ordered thro the D Mirror so I don't even know the name of the manufacturer. Thanks for replying anyway.
