I thought about the Chelsea Pensioners, who may have been too old to fight in the Great War, but probably saw service in the Crimea
The American Hotel 1917 which was a R and R in Trafalgar Sq as maintained by sub by confederate veterans! They lasted until 1936
( same year as the last person to hear Chopin play, died and the same year when there was a spare job at the Palace )
I notice that Ireland /Northen Ireland doesnt feature but Kernow - Cornwall does - people re writing history even then
