Hi please can someone help me ... I have a hudl which has a number of apps or widgets built in I use the e mail one as my yahoo account ... Recently I needed to change my password .......so I'll did this successfully on my laptop, I had a text code to input and had an email to a second account telling me I had completed the update. All good but when I went on to my hudl it told me to change that password? So I tried ( a lot of times!!) All unsuccessful!

I down loaded the yahoo app and signed in there ( success!) So I thought it be easier to just hide the built-in one and not use it BUT I keep getting a very loud ping every 5 mins telling me my signing to yahoo has failed! The internet version and the yahoo app for tablets both let me in and work fine but I cannot stop the built in app from running or change the pass word to the new one so the alerts will stop .....

HELPPPPPPPPPP!!!! please?

I'm unfamiliar with hudl but, can you uninstall the app ? Failing that can you reset the hudl back to factory settings ?

Thank you old geezer if I reset will I lose any work?
From your rather rambling description, it sounds like you were sent a link to change your password at the server end, and used it on your laptop, and then tried to use it again on your Hudl, which wouldn't work, because the job had already been done. If that's the case, you need to go into the account settings for the e-mail client on the Hudl and change it in there.
Open the email app

Tap the three dots at the top right of the email screen

This will take you into 'Settings'

You should then be able to either

1. Remove the Yahoo account completely from the hudl email app

or

2. Turn off all notification sounds for email from the app

[ sorry haven't got a hudl so can't take you through the exact process ]
My experience for mobiles is that one loses the apps one has added, but can easily reinstall them. I can't really advise on the hudl having never had one.
