Travel Insurance

Can anyone name a company that will cover a UK resident for a one week Europe ( Portugal) holiday BUT starts from Shannon airport , Ireland.
I do NOT need cover for the time and connections to and from home to Shannon as every company seems to want to sell me.

With such remarkable foresight I am surprised you are bothering with insurance at all.

If you want a bespoke insurance product go to a broker, do not be surprised when it costs considerably more than an off the shelf deal.

It would probably be simplest to take out annual European cover, which (depending upon your age) starts from around £13:

My daughter has just taken out a policy with Virgin through Travelsupermarket. It asked for destination, number of nights and dates cover wanted. There was nothing about travel arrangements.

I would get a standard deal and recognise that you are overpaying for bits you will never need

I am uninsurable medically but am still encouraged to get some for the luggage bits which would pay out even tho I am a hopeless cripple ....
