Recapture a pet bird

A neighbours cockatiel has escaped but is still close to home after 24 hours on the loose. Any suggestions on recapturing it?

we used fishing net! and ratlled his fav toy - a bell,

If you lose sight of the bird, try and check other people's aviaries nearby. My mother's bird was seen clinging onto the outside of an aviary, obviously attracted by the other birds, and was easily caught with a net.

Good news ! The bird was caught using the oldest bait known.
Sex. A cadged female was placed outside on the roof of a car, and down Billy came. The owner just picked him up. Thanks for the suggestions.
