Technically any income you receive that isn't taxed at source is taxable so therefore the answer is yes.


However as it is probable that you don't have a job (hence the need to busk) you can earn about �5k (can't remember this year personal allowance off the top of my head) without having to pay tax. (I wouldn't imagine that you'd earn that much busking anyway so problem solved!)

If you are earning ANY money the tax man should know about it.

If you are not earning enough - you don't pay.

But winnings from gambling for example aren't taxable.
Nor is if you have lodger who pays less than �4860 (or something close) per year.
