Can anyone tell me what its like in Windsor, i'm thinking of moving down there and wondered what it would be like, i.e clubs, shops, community. and what is the nearest tube station thanks.

it's not on the Tube (there's a mainline train), but you get a better class of royalty living there.

The nearest tube is probably Heathrow, but there are 'proper' trains to both Waterloo and Paddington

I don't live that far away from Windsor and it is one of the more attractive places in the Surrey area (Egham being the worst, what were they thinking when they opened a university there?) I'm not sure about the night life but if i'm honest I thought that being down south would be far more entertaining than the north, London etc but i'm not so sure! Though be warned there are a lot of tourists obviously, then again that must mean they cater for them!

i dont really know a lot about it i thought it was quite close i'm visiting in a few weeks and just wondered how it compared to newcastle dont know if i could leave the north though it would have to be somewhere just as good!

Windsor is pretty nice place. Be prepared for loads of tourists, and because of that it is an expensive place. Housing, food and drink are all expensive, but there are some nice places to go.

As previously said the nearest tube station is a bit more than a hike away.
