I hate to be the musical pedant here but ...
the similarity is more in the fact that the vocals are female, but the musical similarity is because they are both 'mambo' rhythms - a Latin dance setting that has been around since before the war.
Check out Mambo Number 5 - original or Lou Vega - and you'll see what I mean.
BTW, I could only listen to and watch a few minutes of Ms Dixon's offering, because her face, her body and her legs were on view for extended periods of time, so the inevitable rushing noise came into my ears, followed by a brief black-out.
