Is Grenflag Okay ?
my breakdown cover ends end of Sept, I rang RAC about another matter .to change my recently bought car to private plates, first Rac told me that my customer number wasn't registered they gave me another number the exact same as the one I quoted ! then the girl said she had conferred with her colleague and had been told I had cancelled in 2013! so I ask politely then why did you people come out to me to weeks ago ? oh dear she said she would transfer me to someone else she had dislexia ! she really said that ! Waited and spoke to a young guy who said my policy was due for renewal has I had a quote ? no I has not, would he please register my new number plate before we proceed , reluctantly this was done ! then he quote me £253.99 for a year's breakdown , when I protested the bottom line was
£132 ! if I signed up there & then ,now Greenflag is quoting a much more realistic £69.
Has anyone had any bad experiences with Greenflag or could recommend any other breakdown service, I need home start I am 77 years young and do not do long journeys or many miles these days I have a 2yr old Citreon Ci four door automatic car .

Just looked at the latest Which? report.....Greenflag is "average". Best three are LV Britannia Rescue, Gem Motoring Assist and AA.

It's worth remembering that the AA and RAC are the only organisations that have their own patrols. All other providers use the services of local garages, some of which don't seem as keen on roadside repairs as the AA or RAC. (i.e. they'll turn up promptly but want to tow your vehicle to their garage, rather than trying to get it going straight away).
Having said that though, I used to be with an insurer that used the services of local garages and never had a problem with them. Indeed, I'm happy to recommend them. (I now use the RAC simply because I get a really good deal through my motor insurance). So here's the firm I suggest taking a look at:

Zac, I would imagine this person was very capable to do her job, however this was a single query that she felt better handled by someone else. With or without a learning difficulty I imagine that this happens a lot. I think she would possibly have been better not to have mentioned that she was dyslexic, but then again why not?
These days nearly all companies employ people with learning difficulties along with many other mental and physical problem, Most often these difficulties are never an issue, but sometimes they can present a minor problem. I think as long as these issues don't impact on others lives to any degree I think just a little tolerance can be afforded.

Zac, //Sorry ratter but employing someone with dyslexia in a customer facing admin role is crackers.// why is it?
This was just one query that she passed on to someone that was more able to deal with it! Do you actually know anything about Dyslexia to be a judge on such things? You would also need to know about that persons strengths and weaknesses to know how suitable any dyslexic is to do any job. For some, being dyslexic would be a great advantage in that role.
I'm severely dyslexic, it would have no affect on me doing that job at all, I think I would be very good at it, its just not a job I would want.
