I had wonderful day out yesterday....right up into Mid Wales. The scenery in the area of the Llyn Brianne Dam is stunning. It was warm and sunny, with only a few people about. I am so lucky to have all this on my doorstep.
I met a Polish family at the Dam. They have lived in West Wales for about 8 years. Very nice couple. He spoke some English, his wife spoke quite a lot and their 8 year little boy, spoke fluent Polish, English and Welsh ! They said that the are reminded them of a place in Poland, but I forgot to write it down !

I know the area very well mikey. My late sister lived in Lampeter for many years in the 70s. Both her children were Welsh speakers as are my son and daughter. I even manage a little myself. I can remember the dam being finished just after I moved to Wales in 1968. Stunning scenery all through Wales from North to South.
Absolutely Togo ! I try to get up there about 5-6 times a year. Actually, its only a round trip of about 100 miles, so its perfectly doable for a Sunday afternoon drive in the car. The area around Tregaron is even better. I saw three Red Kites yesterday, although they are not as rare a sight as they once were. What I like about the area is its mostly deserted, which I like.
