Looking forward to Gogglebox starting again next week.

One of my favourite characters is Scarlett, but I was gobsmacked when I read in the DM TV guide that she has been to university!!

What's your favourites and why?

My favourites are the Asian dad and his two sons. I find them very bright and extremely funny. Craft, it just goes to show the old adage is true. You can't judge a book by its cover, where Scarlett is concerned.

Why is it many English people judge peoples interlect by their accent? I worked with two English people at an oil company-one was a professor hailing from somewhere near Sunderland who had a northern accent, the other was his junior assistant who was an Oxford graduate with an educated Southern Accent. Most people thought the one with the southern accent was the Professor . Thankfully in Canada there are very few accents so,thankfully, its harder to judge someone 'by the cover'. Scarlett is an enigma -some sites state she graduated in PE and sports coaching, others say TV production. She is very witty on the TV and I bet she's like that in real life.

Retro as I myself have a rather broad Yorkshire accent I can assure you my comments about Scarlett had nothing to do with the way she speaks, rather some of the things she comes out with...

I agree with craft, it's not her accent it's just purely the stupid things she says. Just one example was "I didn't know the Queen had a husband" !!

I have to admit my opinion of Scarlett was influenced by reading a while ago that she was doing the usual busty bikini shots to "sell" herself.
But,according to this...she's a student disability advisor,and has done ballroom dancing for years,and has the trophies to prove it. Wow.

Cant stand Scarlett, defo plays up to the cameras. I love the gay guys, and the two "jesus loves you' women with crazy nails! Can't stand the old man, the wife's ok though
