Iraqi 2 tone cars
Every time we see Iraq, they have half the cars white with orange painted wings. This was in the last gulf war and many views before it. They have no signs on them, and appear to be taxis, but that's only a guess. Does anyone know what they are, and why choose those 2 colours? Thanks.

In similar vein, there's the Yellow Cab Company in New York and in Singapore all taxis were yellow and black when I was there. (They may not be now, of course, as it's a long time ago!) My guess is that some Government bureaucrat simply decides such things and they remain so.
Our local bureaucrats decided on Yellow as the correct colour for taxis -replacing the traditional black. But they demanded a very specific shade - and brooked no arguments- until the localm press got involved that is.http://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/news/2001/10oct/
