Not sure if this is the correct place to ask. What I do is run a music group for disabled people I wanted to registrar as a charity but the turn over each month isn't that much after rent and equipment and refreshments have been taken out. Any advice please do I register as a business or is there any thing else I can do.

If there is another primanry goal in your mind, then there might be a more advantageous way to do it I wans't just being facectious just tryi g to get to the bottom of what your overall aim was.
I'm not sure I wanted to registR as a charity to begin with I wanted to do it as a fun thing for the disabled . We run the group at our local church. We had 5 or 6 to start with and I topped up the rent myself. The local paper got to hear about our community project and we now have 15 or more each week a lot of money goes on musical instruments and refreshments. The reason I started the group is I am a foster carer and did it for my foster children who come alive to music. It was suggested to me to turn it in to a business adventure but I am charitable so would rather go down the community way of doing it as I'm not in it for financial gain but also I've been told I can claim expenses. Does any one have any helpful advice or know where I can go to get help ful advice?
*** is disappeared lol
You don't have to be registered to be a charitable organisation. With such a small group it really isn't worth the time effort and hassle.
Run it as your old a business but as a charitable organisation. Perhaps even non profit making. In fact could you not be a part of the church or as a section of your local community centre. That way you may be able to get grants and other financial help to ensure you don't have to pay out from your own pocket.
In fact as long as you keep accounts you should be able to reclaim expenses.
