Perhaps the Social Services should be investing this woman, because I am not sure that the little boy is at all safe in her care. In fact I have grave doubts.

That said, cocaine's more of a party drug than a killer and, as ummmm says, not as rare as people sometimes suppose. I wouldn't have done this myself but I find the story more funny than outrageous.

Sid Vicious' mother did indeed supply him with the heroin that killed him - the purity was far higher than his weakened system could tolerate.

As a parent, I believe my role is to guide my children about they way society works - if you do this, then this will happen, if you do that, then that will happen.

If my daughters choose to experiment with seriously addictive drugs, there is nothing I can do to stop them, but they have been advised of the negative effects of doing so - because that is my responsibility.

To actively supply and encourage my children to get involved in addictive and illegal drugs is to abandon my responsibilities, and fail them as a parent.

I don't find the story funny or outrageous - just sad that this young woman does not have a better role model as a parent.
