Pets On Beds

I sometimes let my little Westie dog sleep on my bed (at the foot end- not 'in' the bed!) with me, my mum go's mad at me saying it is not hygienic. She is a bit right I guess but I have told her it is not uncommon for a dog to sleep on his masters bed. Come on guys back me up here "Dog on Bed?" Right or Wrong? Thanks

dog/ cat on bed... keeps you warm when it is cold, listen to you complain, snuggle with you when you are upset, never argue back, don't tell you what to do and, just like a mum love you unconditiona lly. No brainer.. on the bed all the time! Very unlikley to spread illness to you and may help recovery when you are ill.

Our dog and cat sleep downstairs in their beds under the sideboard (at least that's where I leave them, dog is still there in the morning). First thing in the morning dog is let out in the garden and then charges straight upstairs for a cuddle and play on the bed. He is followed, in stately fashion, by the cat. He stays on the bed whilst we shower and dress, then comes downstairs. From that point on I always know where to find cat!
