I remember him facing the West Indian pace attack and taking all the bouncers on his body where you could see the imprint of the ball's seam.

What a star he was.
I replied yesterday, but obviously the 'submit' didn't work. I am very proud to have chucked a ball back to him once when I was sitting on the boundary at Scarborough and he was fielding. He pulled up in mid-stride, flashed a smile and said 'thanks' to a small girl. I really feel a sense of loss.
