why does my mondeo diesel 2002 model not start sometimes after i have stalled it it needs to be reset in order to start i mean by this taking the jey out and locking the doors then unlocking the doors putting the key back in then it starts now it wont start at all

I suupose that might be an engine immobiliser. My Renault Laguna did something similar with the locks.

Is there not a sensor in the roof or somewhere you can point your key at?
