@trt

Are you suggesting that they are introducing the fault into your skybox remotely, to get you to ring them?

How long do they keep you on the phone during the 'fixing' stage and is it an 0845 number, or similar?

BT is an 0800 number
If it is the internal rubber touch pad mat the cant. You have to strip it down and clean it.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.

If you get a fault with your Sky remote eg, mute or sound or other, its not necessary its broken or you need a new one.

You can phone Sky, I use 150 from my home phone and its free.

Depending what the problem is, they give you code numbers, to press on your remote as you talk to them.

Didn't know this till 3 days ago, and now have 3 remotes, as just bought another :-)
